Aviva North – Associate Principal

"Proactive strategic development is the key to community capacity building and more resilient destinations.”

Having lived in many tourism-dependent communities in the U.S., I have a unique and personal connection to my work as a Travel and Tourism Associate Principal at Coraggio. I bring a passion for resiliency planning and community economic development through a tourism lens to all my work. Throughout my career, I have focused on strategic planning that empowers destinations to think critically about topics like livability for both residents and visitors, tensions between outdoor recreation and natural resource protection, community capacity evaluations, and economic connectivity within destinations.

Prior to Coraggio, I was part of a team that created the Colorado State Tourism Destination Stewardship Plan and a Research Associate for various destination stewardship planning projects nationwide.

Outside of work, I am an avid outdoor enthusiast, football and Formula One fan, baker, and pop culture consumer.
