Meet Kiarash Jalali, Coraggio’s new fall marketing intern from the University of Oregon’s Portland Senior Experience.
What were you doing prior to Coraggio?
Before I joined Coraggio, I interned at Kabob Lounge, a Mediterranean restaurant located in San Diego. My internship consisted of curating the organization’s social media accounts, while creating greater exposure for its target audience. Prior to Kabob Lounge, I worked as the social media intern for Max Hoops, a Basketball program for collegiate-bound high schoolers. I created original content for the company’s social media account, as well as developing specific video footage for college coaches.
What excites you about your internship at Coraggio?
I’m really excited to work as the marketing intern for Coraggio because I share similar values with this special group of people and organization. I’m thrilled to be a part of an organization that emphasizes teamwork and values an open-minded culture.
Share with our readers something that you are personally passionate about.
I absolutely love watching soccer, basketball and football; however, I try to participate in them whenever the opportunity arises. To say the least, I’d call myself a friendly fanatic who cherishes all of his teams. I enjoy the competitive nature, as well as the teamwork that sports provide.
What is your personal motto?
“Stay hungry for success, stay foolish for fun.” –Steve Jobs
I am fond of working hard to achieve personal goals; however, life can’t be serious all the time. It’s imperative to find personal time to achieve happiness. Never rush through life—embrace every moment.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself delving into a creative agency as a public relations/advertising account executive in Los Angeles. I think an agency would be a perfect fit for me due to the variety of clients it has to offer. As far as moving, although I find Portland to be one of the greatest cities to reside in, I think jumping into a fast moving city like Los Angeles can provide a difficult yet exciting challenge.
