Chris Harder


Meaningful change is rooted in a deep understanding of an organization’s culture and its external purpose.

I work with leaders to drive positive change and strengthen culture by creating strategies that deliver needed results. I believe tapping into an organization’s full potential starts by asking the tough questions and challenging status quo assumptions.

I’ve had the opportunity to lead and grow complex organizations, most recently as Director of the Oregon Business Development Department, the state’s economic development agency. From experience, I’ve found that generating bold ideas and clear strategic priorities are the easy parts. Creating the necessary conditions for change and implementing a new direction requires thoughtful, transparent and consistent communication, both internally and externally.

Outside of work, my wife and I enjoy supporting our kids their many activities like watching my daughter play soccer or coaching my son’s little league baseball team. Staying active is important to me. You may find me on the slopes during the winter or out on a local running trail when the weather is a little nicer.
